Submissions
Dong Hwa Journal of Humanities
is inviting submissions.
No. 19 is scheduled to be published in
July 2011,
and the deadline for submission is
February 20,
2011. No. 20 is scheduled to be published in
January 2012, and the deadline for submission is
September 10, 2011.

Preparation of manuscripts
1.
Please submit three copies of your manuscript, an abstract of no more than 250 words, a keyword list, along with a floppy disk to the Editorial Board,
Dong Hwa Journal of Humanities, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien 97401, Taiwan. If you wish your manuscripts returned, please enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Manuscripts should not exceed 10,000 words for articles, 5,000 words for review articles, or 2,500 words for book reviews. They should be double-spaced and typeset in 12-point Times New Roman. Footnotes, not endnotes, should be used. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the latest edition of the
MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers.

To facilitate blind review processes, any indication of
personal identity or institutional affiliation should be
avoided from the manuscript. Author’s name and
institution should appear only on a separate cover page.
4.
The manuscript submitted should be original work which has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
5. Dong Hwa Journal of Humanities will not receive submissions that have been published in other versions, including chapters of M.A. thesis or Ph.D. dissertations.
6. Upon acceptance, the author is required to sign an agreement to have the essay stored in the digital databases of National Central Library and the University Library of NDHU and any electronic databases companies given on-line permission by
Dong Hwa Journal of Humanities to allow public internet access, paid or unpaid, to the essay. It is also required that the author agrees to donate the royalties to
Dong Hwa Journal of Humanities to facilitate its publication.

Proofs and offprints
Authors will be expected to check the page proofs and return them to the Editorial Board within one week of notice. Each author will receive 2 copies of the journal and 25 complementary offprints of his or her articles.
